Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    * USERS AFFECTED: Any application that sets cookies during 304 *
    * responses.                                                   *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: HTTP Cookies set during the response *
    * are not forwarded to the client when the HTTP status code is *
    * 304 instead of 200.                                          *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply this fix if cookie/session data is *
    * lost and the IHS access log shows this occurs during a 304 *
    * response.                                                    *
    ****************************************************************

    Set-Cookie and Set-Cookie2 were not present in the short list
    of headers that should not be discarded from 304 responses.

Problem conclusion

  • The headers are preserved on 304 responses.

    This fix is targeted for IHS fixpacks:
     6.0.2.35
     6.1.0.25
