Error description

An Out of Memory (OOM) occurs due to memory leak of
com.ibm.ws.jsp.runtime.WASJSPStrBufferImpl.

*                      create a large response.                *

When a JSP outputs a large response, its internal buffer is
expanded and does not get reset afterward.  Repeated JSP
requests which create large responses can eventually deplete
the available memory.  The following heap dump stack shows a
large amount of memory being held by a StringBuilder in the
JSP container.

Problem conclusion

The JSP Container code was modified to use its memory more
efficiently.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 6.1.0.37 and 7.0.0.15. Please refer to the recommended
