This document describes how to download and assemble Tivoli Directory Integrator 7.0 components using the Passport Advantage Online website for each supported platform.

    • HP-UX 11iv2 (11.23) (64bit supported)
    • HP-UX 11iv3 (64bit supported)
  • HP-UX Integrity
    • HP-UX 11iv2 (11.23) (64bit supported)
    • HP-UX 11iv3 (64bit supported)

    Note: The IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator Server runs in 32-bit tolerance mode on HP-UX PA-RISC. This is because Tivoli Directory Integrator ships and uses a 32-bit JRE on HP-UX PA-RISC.

Downloadable parts

There are 2 downloadable parts for HP-UX. Refer to the tables below for details about what each part contains. At a minimum, you must download the first part, and the second is optional.

Required parts

To install IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator 7.0 on an HP-UX platform, you need to download the following part:

Download 1 of 1:

HP-UX PA-RISC:

  • Identity Edition: C1IF9ML.tar
  • General Purpose Edition: C1IU7ML.tar


HP-UX Integrity:
  • Identity Edition: C1IG0ML.tar
  • General Purpose Edition: C1IU8ML.tar

IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator 7.0 for HP-UX (PA-RISC or Integrity)

Contains the installer for IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator and the Tivoli Directory Integrator Password Synchronization Plug-ins (PA-RISC only). These installers allow you to install the following components:

  • Runtime Server
  • Javadocs
  • Examples
  • IBM Eclipse Help System
  • Adminstration and Monitoring Console
  • Embedded web platform (includes Integrated Solutions Console SE)
  • Configuration Editor Update Site (Eclipse update site) (Integrity only)
  • Password Synchronization Plug-ins (PA-RISC only)

IBM Tivoli Directory Server 6.2 for HP-UX PA-RISC

Provides a powerful Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) infrastructure for deploying comprehensive identity management applications and advanced software architectures.

Space requirements

Refer to the IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator Administrator Guide for the necessary space requirements.

Downloading and assembling the product

  1. Download all of the parts that you need, both required and optional. The parts are described by platform in the tabbed sections of this document.
  2. Unpack each of the parts into a single temporary directory on your system.
  3. Run the IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator Launchpad executable for your operating system; for example, launchpad.sh
  4. From the Launchpad menu, select Install IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator.
  5. On the installation panel, click IBM Tivoli Directory Integrator Installer and follow the installation instructions.
  6. Install Tivoli Directory Integrator using a Typical or Custom installation:
    • A Typical installation installs the Tivoli Directory Integrator Server, Configuration Editor, JavaDocs, Administration and Monitoring Console, embedded web platform and Examples.
    • A Custom installation allows you to choose individual components to install. It also provides the option to install the Configuration Editor Update Site (Integrity only) and Password Synchronization Plug-ins (PA-RISC only) which are not installed in a Typical install.
